Next-gen Monitoring for Smaller Spaces

The Adam Audio A7V is the next evolution of the award-winning A7X. This 2-way monitor is a stellar choice for project studios, smaller control rooms, and anyone who needs superior audio quality at an outstanding price. It comes with a newly-designed 7-inch woofer and Adam Audio’s game-changing X-ART ribbon tweeter. Together, the bi-amped drivers treat listeners to clean and consistent audio from 41Hz to 42kHz. Better still, this monitor is equipped with DSP-based tuning to fine-tune its response to match your room. The A7V’s vertical orientation offers the imaging characteristics you’re used to and a sweet spot tailored for nearfield monitoring. Get yours now from Sweetwater and experience them for yourself!

X-ART ribbon tweeter for a lush high-end

The A7V includes Adam Audio’s well-loved X-ART ribbon tweeter. The X-ART tweeter uses an accelerated-ribbon design to eliminate the high-end distortion that plagues common dome-style tweeters. Here’s how it works. The X-ART consists of a precisely folded ribbon diaphragm. When in use, the diaphragm moves air approximately four times faster than the folds are moving. You’ll experience no high-end distortion even at extreme dynamics — all the way to 42kHz. For clean, efficient headroom is what you’re after, you’ll want an Adam Audio A7V.

A woofer with serious punching power

With the A7V, you’ll be ready for any project that walks through your studio. This powered 2-way monitor comes equipped with a 7-inch Multi-Layer Mineral (MLM) woofer. The cone pairs with a 1.3-inch voice coil and 110W amplifier to deliver more than enough low and midrange power for any situation. Power isn’t everything, though! The woofer also exhibits serious midrange clarity and a broad sweet spot that’s perfect for nearfield monitoring. If you’re looking for a powerful sound in a small package, you’ve found it in the Adam Audio A7V.

Achieve the right sound in any space

You’re serious about your sound. So why would you risk making the wrong mixing decision when switching monitors? With Adam Audio’s A7V, you’ll always know you made the right call. This nearfield studio monitor had DSP-based acoustic tuning baked right in, so you can tailor the sound of your speakers to your space. What's more, this speaker has deep integration with Sonorworks' SoundID Reference plug-in (sold separately) to shape your sound perfectly. It’s not a complicated process either! Adam Audio makes it so easy that you can get set up and running in mere minutes!

Great mixing tools after getting used to them

These might not be the most accurate or natural-sounding studio monitors, but they work well for mixing once you get used to them. It works exceptionally well for genres with fast transients, as the highs on the A7Vs are among the most "solid" and "crispy" I've heard. That said, while the mids on them sound decent, they draw your attention to the high frequencies, making the mids feel "less emphasized". Therefore, I would suggest using a headphone with good low to mid frequencies to double-check the mids and lows. I'm using the Neumann NDH 30 for this purpose, and it's perfectly complementary to the A7Vs. Lastly, if you use Sonarworks, this is simply the BEST choice since you can run the profiles without the program running on your computer.

I'm in love with these amazing speakers!

I bought a pair of the A7V for my PC audio. I'm not a music producer. I just love listening to great music and playing great games. I'm hearing details I never knew were there. I'm sure my neighbors are tired of hearing my daily Nine Inch Nails jam sessions, but guess who couldn't care less? This is so much better than the passive speaker setups I used for years. My next purchase will be the Adam Sub8 to complete the system. Big shout out to Max Dilon! He was a huge help with all his advice and answers to all my questions. He also suggested the Drawmer CMC2 as a great solution for volume control. Thanks so much, Max!
Music background: I love industrial/electronic rock, especially Nine Inch Nails and Combichrist. Also a big-time PC gamer.

The hype is real

Before investing in a new pair of monitors, I spent nearly two months researching practically every brand of monitor on the market! The consistence positive reviews surrounding the AV7s inspired me to pull the trigger on these monitors. One of the comments I consistently saw regarding these monitors was how you could hear things that you could not hear on other monitors. People even went as far as to say that they would have made different mix decisions had they mixed on the AV7s. I found this comment to be somewhat exaggerated until I listened to my own mixes on these monitors. And I have to say they are 100% true! The level of detail in these monitors is unlike anything I have ever heard! I played several of my mixes as well as some commercial songs, and I heard things in some of my favorite songs that I never even knew were there! I feel strongly these monitors are going to be a game changer for my mixes. If you have come to look at these monitors and continue to read reviews to convince yourself that they are great, search no more. I can be pretty skeptical about even the most positive reviews, and I have to admit these monitors have really blown me away so far!

Stunning speakers!

I have been using the Adam A7X for mixing music and post since 2008. I have had a mediocre surround setup since that time, with similar but unmatched speakers for the center, sub and surrounds. I bought a pair of the A7V's and an A4V for the center last August. Since that time I have done 2 theatrical surround mixes, 4 TV surround mixes and a bunch of music mixes. The A7V's as front speakers allowed me to move the A7X's to the rears, giving me a more evenly matched set for the stereo pairs. What a difference it has made. Balancing the system was easy, and with the extra 4-6 hz of low end in the A7V, I don't use my sub for music any longer, so it's a dedicated LFE.
Obviously I like the ADAM sound, but these speakers have a tighter low mid than the A7X, and the A4V is a great match for the center carrying primarily voice for a surround mix. If you liked the AX line of ADAM speakers, you will LOVE the AV line. I have a well tuned room, so I didn't have to use the DSP curves that come with the speakers, but I did use the software to tweak the EQ curve for 3 db in the 180hz range, and using the software for the DSP is easy, and the speaker remembers the user settings so you can experiment with various built-in and user settings. The fact that ADAM managed to keep the price so close to the AX line is impressive as well.
I feel more confident in the translation of my mixes with the ADAM AV line than any other speaker i have ever used.

OMG.........Woah.........Yes, worth the cash.

Less than 5 minutes set up. Built in EQ adjustments sound great and make a huge difference. Like the way these sound WITHOUT my Sub.
Was worried that these might be overpriced; Nope! Definitely Not. Would buy again in a heartbeat. I can hear details in songs I've never heard before. Brings a lot of fun back to listening.
