Nothing Beats Real Tube Tone!

The guitar freaks here at Sweetwater love the sound of real tube overdrive, and the Behringer Vintage Tube Monster VT999 guitar pedal delivers. For starters, this beast boosts your signal with the help of a hand-selected 12AX7 vacuum tube, serving up oodles of gain, sustain, and sweet harmonics. But there are lots of places you can take tube tone like that, and thanks to the VT999's comprehensive set of controls, getting there is easy. On the way in, an adjustable noise gate (more like a gentle expander) keeps any hiss on the line from frying your sound. There are separate Gain and Master volume controls on the VT999 too, and 3-band EQ does a killer job shaping your tone, allowing you to dial in anything from a scooped lead to a punchy and present riff tone.

Behringer Vintage Tube Monster VT999 Guitar Effects Pedal Features:
  • Smooth and sweet overdrive effect offers a wide range of boosted guitar tone
  • Real 12AX7 preamp tube provides warm, even-order harmonics for real tube-amp sound
  • Adjustable Noise Gate gently cuts pickup hiss out of your signal path
  • Separate Gain and Master volume controls let you fire up your sound without overloading your amp
  • 3-band EQ lets you sculpt your tone to perfection
  • True-bypass switching preserves your tone when the effect is off
  • Runs off of the included Behringer 9V DC power supply
Dial in sweet and smooth overdrive with the Behringer Vintage Tube Monster VT999!

Love this pedal!

Blown away by this pedal! I did not expect to plug in this pedal and notice any real difference between this and my tubescreamer. Boy was I wrong! Nothing wrong with the tubescreamer but this tube monster dials in the exact crunch and tightness that I've been looking for in my tone! I'm not really one to review things good or bad but after plugging this in, I had to say something! 5/5 chugs

Tube monster

Awesome pedal, this just absolutely sounds amazing anything from mild breakup to full on distortion. I just cannot understand why any person could give this a negative review unless your playing through a horrible cheap amp. Buy it !

Real vt999 user

I am a real owner and user of this pedal it's my 2nd one. Let the other one go a while back and swore I would get another one. This thing is no joke it warms up the signal and makes a Marshall Mg half stack sound waaay better. It's surprising how much USABLE GAIN there is and I find myself not pushing the buttons on my other drive pedals. The stock tube does sound excellent and you can feel it under your hands and hear it's squishy goodness lol. I also have a bugera v22 which sounds great too with this. Totally underrated because of the name on it. Let people pay way more for good sound I'll be completely satisfied right here with more money leftover for more toys.

Glad I stopped hesitating!

After reading reviews, seeing more negatives than positives online, I was highly hesitant on whether or not to get this. I am very pleased that I went with my gut and got this! Background on what I've used it with, an AVii '61 Strat, a solid state Fender Mustang GTX 50 and a solid state Tone Master Twin Reverb. This pedal works awesome for taking the Twin from a good clean tone to a warm edge of breakup at any volume like you'd hear on a Princeton or a Deluxe when cranked. Also easy to push it over the edge and get SRV tones as well. With the GTX, I've found it pleasing to push any of the Blackface and Tweed amps into a pleasurable warm bluesy overdrive. The stock tube on this is a gain packed little rodent, so it doesn't take much more than 2-3 on the gain knob to drive it to the edge. My advice is get your amp set to the tone you like, then set the pedal to get what overdrive you are reaching for. I found for the most part that small adjustments net big gains so take your time, go slow on adjusting until you get a good feel on how it responds and also mess with your guitars controls for optimum enjoyment. I do plan to change the tube to a 12AU7 just to buy a little more room for gain adjustment across the spectrum, but the tube that comes in it is perfectly fine once you get familiar with the controls. Overall, I couldn't be happier I chose this and I hope this helps you make a decision if your on the fence and that you find it as enjoyable as I do. Be well - CM

Amazing

I was very skeptical, but wow! I really didn't think there was a petal that could made a solid state amp sound like a tube amp. This thing has it, all the gain and crunch. It totally removes that "solid state" sound and feel. Even pinch harmonics sound 100% better. Big big bang for the buck.
