Extended Range with Impressive Playability

When you need the extended range of a 7-string guitar, it's hard to beat the value and sonic intensity of the Jackson JS32-7 Dinky solidbody electric guitar. Complete with Jackson's famous neck carve, two high-output humbuckers, and that iconic headstock, the JS32-7 Dinky is perfect for down-tuned rock and metal. You'll enjoy impressive sustain and note definition, thanks to the strings-through-body fixed bridge. And despite its affordability the JS32-7 Dinky boasts premium appointments, like binding on the fretboard for an ultra-smooth feel. Looking for an affordable 7-string guitar that plays like a dream? You'll be impressed with the Jackson JS32-7 Dinky solidbody electric guitar.

7-string design expands your creative options

Want the sound of Steve Vai, Periphery, Korn, or any of the other genre defining masters of the 7-string guitar? The JS32-7 Dinky is a great way to achieve that heaviness — but heavy isn't the only thing you can do. Expand your chord voicings, add moving bass parts to your solo guitar arrangements, or come up with new sounds never heard before.

Dual high-output Jackson pickups to punish the front of your amplifier

Forget weak, wimpy sounding pickups. The Jackson humbucking pickups on the JS32-7 Dinky are designed for muscle. Jackson knows how to rock, and the direct-mount high-output pickups they put in the JS32-7 Dinky are designed to do just that. They're great for driving the preamp of your favorite amp or for pushing long cable runs through multiple effects pedals. These pickups won't leave you wanting more, that's for sure.

Jackson neck carve a with straight-string-pull headstock

There are certain electric guitar neck designs that set the standard for all others to follow. Jackson's neck contour is definitely one of them. Since the '80s, Jackson necks have been synonymous with highly technical, high-performance playing. The JS32-7 Dinky follows the tradition, giving you a thin profile and great access to all 24 jumbo frets. Guitarists at Sweetwater especially dig the straight-string-pull headstock, which keeps even tension on all seven strings and helps with tuning stability.

Jackson JS32-7 Dinky 7-string Electric Guitar Features:

  • 7-string electric guitar engineered for rock and metal
  • High-output pickups put you in hard rock territory
  • Jackson's famous neck carve offers fast, smooth playability
  • Fretboard binding for a smoother neck feel
  • 24 jumbo frets, a favorite fret size among rock and metal guitarists
  • 26.5" scale length for added string tension on the lower strings

Loving it!

First time on a seven-string for me, so this looked like a perfect first start, and it has not let me down. Loving this beast and can't wait to start upgrading it. Highly recommend. Delivery was also superb, and Ben Followed up with excellent customer service.

The Best 7 For the Money

The Jackson Dinky series was always good to begin with, but for someone going from a 6 to a 7, the neck is amazing, and the playability is impeccable. It was setup as a player out of the box, and I commemorate Sweetwater for that. It can be used for djent, Nu Metal, hard rock, even indie! The pickups sound surprisingly good, and are super high output with a really nice high end fuzz, that isn't harsh. The only few things that are less than desirable are the tuners, they're loose and kinda crappy, but other than that, you can do so much with this guitar, it's a great player. I DEFINATLEY recommend, for anyone. If your a beginner to extended range, or are Jason Richardson level of experience, it's a great "beater" and one you can just take with you. The aesthetic of this guitar too, is SOMETHING ELSE! I'm not one for simplistic finishes, but this is just too good. Its the blueish hue in it, it has a very subtle hint of a very light blue, which is so pretty, and makes this thing sheen in studio lights. 5 stars, WELL DONE JACKSON!!

Affordable quality seven string

This is one of my favorite guitars to both play on and write new riffs with. If you are a fan of Jackson guitars and want to move from a six to a 7 on a budget, This is what you're looking for! Ease of use to start with and upgradeable in the future if you feel the need to swap out tuners/pickups/etc. This axe gets the job done.

Beginner 7-string

Great guitar for the money. Inexpensive entry into the 7-string world. Neck feels good and plays well especially for $400. Pickups are cheap sounding but ok for distortion, so it's a much needed upgrade if you want to play cleaner tones. Always have great experiences with Sweetwater. Customer and sales service is always on point! I'll never go anywhere else for gear!

Excellent

For the price, it's an excellent guitar! Great guitar for exploring extended ranges and practicing. Very fun to play, smooth and easy playing. However, the headstock is a bit heavy for the balance of the guitar. If you want clarity in your tone, it's best to change pickups. When playing on a higher register, you'll find the cutaway is a little to close to the guitar to play at a preferred comfort. The tuners are not that bad actually, it holds tune. Also, since there is no forearm cutaway, it's gets uncomfortable after playing for a long while. Overall, I love this guitar. These are just the things that I've noticed playing it. I will keep playing it because it's fun to play and I prefer this over by Ibanez. Yes, it does djent!
