If you have a hankering for classic BBD-style modulation effects, Maestro Comet Chorus will satisfy your analog-fueled craving. This guitar effects pedal employs bucket-brigade-device technology, yielding warm, vintage-tinged chorus tones that are guaranteed to inspire. This all-analog stompbox includes a Mode toggle for expanded sonic flexibility, along with an intuitive 3-knob control layout. The Comet Chorus pedal features true-bypass switching, convenient top-mounted I/O, and eye-grabbing status LEDs. Whether you're aiming for shimmering chorus or mind-bending rotary effects, Comet Chorus delivers the mod-soaked goods.

Ultra-flexible Mode toggle

The guitarists here at Sweetwater are blown away by the flexibility of Comet Chorus, thanks to its Mode toggle. Flip the switch to Earth mode, and you'll experience a shimmery, gooey chorus effect. Switching over to Orbit mode adds amplitude modulation to the chorus effect to achieve a spellbinding rotary-speaker-like sound. You also get an internal trim pot for adjusting the level of Orbit mode's rotary speaker effect. From a subtle sparkle to gyrating goodness, Comet Chorus is a must-have stompbox for every vintage modulation aficionado.

Simple 3-knob layout

If you're familiar with chorus effect pedals, you won't have any trouble navigating Maestro Comet Chorus, courtesy of this stompbox's easy-to-use 3-knob layout. Depth controls your amount of pitch variation; Speed controls the modulation rate for your chorusing; Mix adjusts the amount of pitch modulated signal that's blended with your dry signal. Whether you want a barely there sheen or all-out warbling cacophony, Comet Chorus will oblige.

Maestro Comet Chorus

It's different chorus in that it has a cool vibrato and tremolo effect. I saw demo's of it and I knew I had to try it. It gets you into Lonnie Mack territory. It's not like the typical chorus. It works for me for, bluesy rootsy music. Watch the youtube videos and you'll see what I mean. It's swampy and funky. Found my kind of chorus.

Maestro Comet Chorus Pedal

I have used a variety of chorus pedals from my first, the one in the 70s, an EHX Small Clone to Keeley, Danelectro, DOD, etc. All good, some more complicated than others which confuses me. I want simplicity and this pedal gives me simplicity with some adjustment abilities and is probably the best sounding chorus I have ever played through. It compliments ODs', delays, and other pedals. I can have lush rich sweet subtle chorus, just barely noticeable to 80s over the top chorus to a tremolo comparable to the tremolo on my 1966 Vox Pacemaker. I think its the best.

Defective? Very noisy. Amazing when it works.

Let me preface this by saying this is the best sounding chorus (to me) that I have ever played. More than the Small Clone. It's a vintagey look AND sound that I like. The orbit mode is awesome, it just adds tremolo to your chorus, which I like alot. Everything about the pedal I really, really like. But completely randomly and out of nowhere, it starts making horrible scratchy noise and random popping into my speaker regardless of my amps, or guitars volume... I've tried it in the front of the amp, in the fx loop, on multiple different amps, with different cabs, and with different wires hoping that something made a difference, but why would it when I didn't have to do that for any of my other pedals you know? The only thing that makes it stop is turning the pedal off, or the mix knob to 0, which is really, really dissapointing because alot of the time I'm playing at low volumes and the noise is louder than everything else... I got it at a Guitar Center locally, and they are going to get one sent from another guitar center to swap with mine and see if it's just the pedal. I'm really praying it is, because I REALLY like this pedal. This would be an always-on pedal for me, and one of my favorites ever, if it just worked...

Noisy

Disappointed by the orbit mode. It's actually like a tremolo and not really a vibrato or rotary type effect. The knobs were scratchy and produced a scratchiness thru the signal that pulsed with the tremolo, but also got out of hand into a bigger static noise. The mix knob is actually like a volume knob above noon and made the scratchiness worse. Otherwise the chorus was ok and the pedal build and the packaging are cool. I wanted to like it, but it's just unusable with the scratchy issues.

Scratchy & Noisey

Cool looking, sounds great as far as chorus goes. However after a few days, the pedal pops and makes a scratching noises when engaged. I've tried every combination of power/battery/placement in chain/by itself…. No remedy. It is just a cool looking paper weight now.
