Play Electric and Play Acoustic All With One Guitar!

The Schecter C-1 E/A is the guitar for you when you need to play electric and acoustic guitar in the same song. Nothing's more frustrating than having to sacrifice the beautiful sound of an acoustic guitar for an electric during a live performance, and Sweetwater knows that. Enter the Schecter C-1 E/A. Go from a rocking electric guitar tone to a rich, full-bodied acoustic guitar sound, and even mix them for a tone that's all your own. The C-1 E/A is your one stop for all the usable tones you need.

Fishman Powerbridge for copping acoustic tones

You know when a company uses any products from Fishman in their design that the acoustic sounds are going to be top-notch. This definitely applies for the C-1 E/A. Perfect for times you need to switch from acoustic to electric guitar mid-song, this could be the only guitar you play through your whole gig. A flick of the toggle is all it takes to shift from electric to acoustic tones. Or, you can get a huge, layered sound with both tones at the same time.

Schecter Diamond Plus humbucking pickups with coil tap for a plethora of electric sounds

Think having the Powerbridge is nice? You also get the proprietary Schecter Diamond Plus humbucking pickups with coil tap. That's the equivalent of the sounds of four different guitars. With humbucking, single-coil, acoustic, and layered acoustic-electric sounds, there isn't a gig out there that this guitar won't be able to handle with ease.

Semi-hollowbody design offers rich warm response

What's not to love about a semi-hollow electric guitar? It adds a warmth and dimension to your tone that can't be found on a solidbody. It also adds a classic look to the top of the instrument. The C-1 E/A has this in spades with its original take on the F-hole. And that doesn't even mention the weight relief it will offer you. Play it electric or acoustic, have it on your shoulder all night long, and look good doing it!

Schecter C-1 E/A Features:

  • Fishman Powerbridge for acoustic tones
  • Humbucking pickups with coil tap offers humbucking and single-coil sounds
  • Semi-hollowbody construction giving weight relief and a warm open sound
  • TonePros T1Z tailpiece for sturdy construction and easy string changes
  • Thin C contoured neck for comfort

An Extremely Versatile Classy Guitar

After spending countless hours/years searching for a new guitar

So amazing I had to have a second one

This guitar fits with any style, I love using the acoustic sound without having to carry a bulky acoustic. Through the PA it sounds exactly like my acoustic. In our cover band we can go from Merle Haggard to Bon Jovi in one set. I can use the coil tap for the Tele Chickin Pickin sounds on things like Working Man Blues and the humbuckers sound great on all the rock tunes. I got a second one to use for our down tuned songs.

Excellent Guitar!

I just got my Schecter C-1 E/A Classic today but had to write a review already. I absolutely love this guitar. The build quality is excellent, the neck profile is very comfortable, the weight is perfect, and there are so many great tone options. I had the guitar set up at Sweetwater, and I'm glad I did. The action was perfect out of the box. The humbuckers sound great, as well as the split coil. The piezo power bridge sounds amazing and is the best I've heard on an electric guitar. The finish is beautiful and is something I would expect on a guitar much more expensive than this one. First impressions mean a lot, and my initial impressions of this guitar are as good as it gets. Thanks to my sales engineer, Mark Magdich, for his continued excellent customer service.

Variety of sounds, from heavy rock to acoustic and everything in between

Got the best of sounds in one guitar. Love the way it plays , sounds and the ease with which you can go from one sound to the next.

An amazing workhorse with a classic feel

I can't think of anything more that you could ask for in a single guitar. It looks amazing, it is well balanced, has a super comfortable neck, and a ton of tonal options.
The very first time I played this guitar it felt like an old friend I've been playing for a decade. Mine came in at 7 lbs 6 oz and seems perfectly balanced. THe neck is a very comfortable "C" shape on the thinner side, but still fills my hand very well. The contour on the neck allows excellent higher fret access, the tusq nut and grover tuners do a superb job of keeping it in tune.
I had sweetwater Plek mine because I prefer lower action, so I can't tell you how good the stock frets are, but mine is perfect. My low "E" at the 12th is 1.25mm , and the high "E" is at 1mm making very easy to play with no hint of any fret buzz.
For a guitar in this price range the pickups are superb. The acoustic sounds from the Fishman bridge to the multiple options with the magnetic humbuckers. Plus, you also have the option to blend the two sounds.
I can always get a good idea of how well a guitar is made and what it will sound like through an amp by seeing how good it sounds un-plugged. This thing rings out loud and clear un-plugged and just a joy to play.
I own several higher-end USA made guitars like PRS S2 Vela and 24 core, Gibson SG & les paul, Music Man cutlass and Valentine, as well as others and this Schecter from South Korea holds up to the best of them at 1/2 the price.
