Awesome pickups!!

These have to be one of the best aftermarket Strat replacement sets ever! Very hot, and articulate. Aged to perfection. If you on the fence as where to get "OEM" Fender, Lindy Fralin, or Custom Shop Fender pickups, look no further..

Great Strat pickups

I put these in my Fender custom shop relic 1957 strat after hearing how great the Antiquity Tele pickups sounded in my Tele. These strat pickups brought the best out of an already good guitar. They are clear and punchy without the shrill high end some strat pickups produce. The neck pickup is warm and bold sounding. The bridge pickup offers just that extra punch that you want without being too bright. The pickups are well balanced tonally. As I said in my review of the Antiquity Tele pickups, these strat pickups are like taking a blanket off of my guitar and amp. They are perfect for blues and classic rock.

Contender for favorite pickups.

When I first installed these pickups it was in an ash bodied strat and I immediately noticed how much articulation was present in the sounds. Plenty of top end sparkle and chime. Then I removed them and installed in an Alder body and found them to be just a slight bit more mellow or maybe softened. Still great tones though. My one gripe was that the neck pu was somewhat weak in the base end. When I install pickups I generally install separate tone caps for each tuner and they are generally .022 for tuner 1 (neck) and .047 for tuner 2 (mid/bridge). So went back in to controls and put both tuners on a vintage .047 Sprague Black Beauty like Gibson used to use. Wow! Plenty of bass thump now and still retained the top end. Now my only gripe is I can't decide which body to put them in. I'm a big fan of ash bodies as they tend to lend definition to tones. Back to the shootout.
